Relevant Experience
Mr. Hammer’s intellectual property rights practice emphasizes review of client operations and counseling of clients regarding (i) appropriate protection for products and services offered by client; (ii) potential intellectual property infringement issues; (iii) compliance with licenses and other agreements; (iv) compliance of websites with applicable laws; and (v) compliance of advertising materials with Lanham Act and other applicable statutes.
Mr. Hammer’s practice also includes counseling, negotiation, review and preparation of strategy for both technology licensors and licensees regarding agreements for (i) development; (ii) technology and software licensing; (iii) open source software licensing and use; and (iv) website and ASP services.
Within more traditional corporate and commercial practice, Mr. Hammer reviews, drafts, negotiates and counsels clients on a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements. These include agreements for purchases from vendors, agreements for sale and use of client products and businesses, joint venture agreements, strategic alliance agreements, lease financing agreements and other types of agreements. Mr. Hammer represents clients in a wide range of industries. For healthcare clients, Mr. Hammer also provides counseling on regulatory issues.
Mr. Hammer is adept at providing effective, efficient and economical legal service, whether the matter involves lower five figures or is a multi-million dollar transaction.
