Employment Practices and Liability Defense
SSE&C is often called upon by employers and insurance carriers to solve difficult employment issues and to defend employers and their senior personnel against claims of harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, whistle-blower reprisals and other employment-related matters. Also, with our experience in handling employment discrimination claims, we work with insurers, owners, management companies and landlords in litigation related to discrimination issues. When litigation arises, SSE&C’s highly experienced practitioners effectively represent both its private and public sector clients in the state courts, federal courts and administrative agencies.
Environmental and Toxic Tort Defense
Our lawyers regularly defend policyholders and private clients in New Jersey and New York on claims involving lead, carbon monoxide, toxic mold and other environmental, chemical and toxic exposures. Some of our more recent assignments have included habitational lead paint claims against landlords and toxic exposure to lead arising out of the clean up of a Superfund site.

Our clients include manufacturers and distributors of industrial equipment and consumer goods. Professional Liability Defense
SSE&C’s experienced litigation attorneys defend architects, engineers, construction contractors, lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, health care companies and their administrators, title companies, real estate agents and other professionals. We strive to develop an in depth understanding of the particular interests of each client, and pursue litigation strategies that best protect those interests.
SSE&C’s lawyers have developed experience in handling complex construction litigation including construction defect claims, as well as property damage and personal injury cases arising out of construction accidents.
